"Stamattina, 2 dicembre 2012, abbiamo accompagnato i contadini a Khuza'a, nel sud della Striscia di Gaza. Secondo gli accordi del cessate il fuoco, i contadini hanno diritto a lavorare entro 300 metri dal reticolato e i soldati israeliani devono smettere di sparare contro i civili lungo i confini con Israele. Nonostante ciò, i soldati israeliani continuano a sparare contro i contadini. Stanno rompendo di continuo il cessate il fuoco. Hanno sparato contro di noi e contro i contadini anche stamattina. In un primo momento, è arrivato un carro armato israeliano, seguito poi da 3 jeep. Una di queste jeep si è avvicinata al reticolato e un soldato israeliano è sceso dal veicolo. Era vicino, di fronte a me, così gli ho potuto parlare. Lui ha detto, in arabo: "Via, via!" e muovendo le braccia ci ha ordinato di abbandonare l'area. Gli ho chiesto il motivo, gli ho detto che volevamo solo lavorare la terra, che eravamo contadini, civili, e che eravamo in territorio palestinese, e che non c'era motivo di sparare. Lui ha risposto di nuovo "Via, via!", quindi ho ripetuto le mie domande e le mie parole, e lui ha risposto di nuovo "Via, via!" e così per tre, quattro volte. La sua risposta era sempre la stessa, impossibile fargli capire che è un nostro diritto stare lì. E' terribile quando le jeep israeliane e i carri armati arrivano sui campi. Domani mattina torneremo sulla stessa terra, perchè i contadini devono seminare i campi con il grano. Pensiamo che domani la situazione sarà peggiore di oggi, quindi per favore chiedete insieme a noi che non ci sparino addosso, che smettano di sparare contro i contadini."

"This morning, 2 December 2012, we accompanied the farmers in Khuza'a, south Gaza strip. According to the Cease-fire agreements, the farmers have the right to work inside the 300 mt from the fence and the Israeli soldiers have to stop shooting against the civilians along the border with Israel. However, the Israeli soldiers keep shooting against the farmers. They are continuosly breaking the Cease-fire. They shot again this morning against us and against the farmers. In a fisrt moment, an Israeli tank came, and then 3 Israeli jeeps. One of these jeeps came near the fence and an Israeli soldier went out of the vehicle. He was near, in front of me, so I could speak with him. He said in arabic "Go, go!", and moving his arms he ordered us to leave the area. I asked him the reason, I told him that we wanted just to work the land, that we are farmers, we are civilians, and we are in Palestinian land, and that there was no reason to shoot. He answered again "Go, go!", then I repeated again my questions and my words, and he answered again "Go, go!", and so for three, four times. His answer was always the same, impossible to let him understand that it's our right to stay there. It's terrible when Israeli jeeps and tanks come to the land. Tomorrow in the morning we will go back in the same land, because the farmers have to seed the field with wheat. We think that tomorrow the situation will be worst than today, so please ask with us to not shoot against us, to stop shooting against the farmers."
